Beach volleyball at Los Cocos

Playa Los Cocos lies between the Marina Internacional and the bay, within walking distance of the historic centre. It’s quieter than the bay beach: mornings bring joggers and yoga, and afternoons bring football, volleyball and games. And when the match is over, the sun sets behind the Marina.

Don’t miss

  1. 1Informal volleyball and football games in the afternoon
  2. 2A city beach that’s quieter than the one on the bay
  3. 3Sunset behind the Marina once the game’s done
  4. 4In the morning: jogging, stretching and yoga by the sea

What to expect

Let’s be honest: this isn’t a club and there’s no match schedule. People play at Los Cocos in the afternoon because they enjoy it, and that’s that. You might find a game and get invited in, or you might not — bring your own ball and, if you see a group playing, ask if there’s room.

If there’s no game, you still get a quiet beach (pets are allowed) and the sunset just round the corner. Play in the late afternoon: at midday the sand burns.
